NEW TENA U-test - easy and simple way to test for urine infections
We have recently added the new TENA U-test product to our incontinence range. The TENA U-test is a NEW way to test for urine infections in a simple and quick way, allowing comfort and dignity for individuals and reducing the workload for carers.
The TENA U-test is an in-pad test for the detection of nitrites and leukocytes in the urine, indicating a urinary tract infection. It works by placing a small soft test card inside the incontinence pad. This test card has a soft surface, making it comfortable for individuals to wear. Results can be obtained in just 15 minutes after urination and remain valid for up to 24 hours afterwards, allowing no interruption to individual incontinence pad changing routines.
The results of the detection strip are colour coded to allow for easy interpretation of the results and the test comes with a sticker than advises carers of when a test is in progress, and the results card enables an accurate recording of results to pass onto clinicians.
