This week is Carers Week and at Incontinence UK we are helping Carers UK spread awareness about the work of the 6.5 million people in the UK who are carers, looking after a parent, partner, child or friend. Carers Week (#CarersWeek) is an annual awareness campaign to celebrate and recognise the vital contribution made by the UK’s 6.5 million carers. This year the focus is around highlighting the physical and mental strain felt by unpaid carers.   The physical and mental strain of caring “jeopardising” unpaid carers’ ability to care in the future, warn national charities  Lack of sleep, performing care tasks and the impact on their finances named as top stressors by unpaid carers.
