Crohn’s & Colitis Awareness Week
This week is Crohn’s & Colitis Awareness Week which we know a number of our incontinence customer’s suffer from. Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease and often described as 'invisible' illnesses. Symptoms range from mild to severe and can change over time. However the most common are abdominal pain and diarrhoea, tiredness and fatigue, loss of appetite and weight loss and mouth ulcers. Help the UK’s leading charity in the battle against Inflammatory Bowel Disease. They have dozens of free information sheets, booklets and guides that demystify Crohn’s and Colitis for anyone affected by them, including friends, family, medical professionals and even employers. Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis are often viewed as ‘invisible illnesses’. This Awareness Week, we're using the hashtag #MakingTheInvisibleVisible, to help bring Crohn's and Colitis out of the fog this December. If your life is affected by Crohn's Disease or Ulcerative Colitis, then we recommend that you check out the Crohn’s and Colitis website for the support services.
