Here at Incontinence UK; we are big supporters of
Carers Week, the annual campaign to

raise awareness for the 6.5 million people in the UK who currently provide care, unpaid for a disabled, older or ill family member or friend.
Carers Week highlights the challenges carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. Currently 3 in 4 carers don’t feel their caring role is understood or valued by their community.

The campaign is brought to life by thousands of individuals and organisations who come together to organise activities and
events throughout the UK, drawing attention to just how important
caring is.
This year the focus is
Building Carer Friendly Communities. Communities which support carers to look after their loved ones well, while recognising that they are individuals with needs of their own.
Download the
research report to find out how we can all held build
Carer Friendly Communities. Whether you’re thinking big or looking for a simple action to make a difference, our
