National Dementia Carers Day 2014 – 14th September

This Sunday (14TH September) is National Dementia Carers’ Day.  National Dementia Carers’ Day is brought to you by Dementia UK, SweetTree Home Care Services and The Alzhiemers Society. They see the value of Dementia carers and feel that for people to live well with dementia means having the right care. They feel that it’s time to recognise and share what it means to be a dementia carer. The theme this year  is ‘Creating Special Moments’. Focusing on celebrating and sharing the unique ways in which dementia carers can create a moment of serenity and recognition for their loved one. I There are currently 800,000 people today living with dementia, many of whom are cared for by loved ones, friends and other important people in their lives. National Dementia Carers’ Day has been created to recognise, celebrate and share this support. If you’re the carer of a Dementia sufferer they would like you to share your story and tell the world what being a dementia carer means to you. You can do this here. The three ways they would like people to get involved is to share a special moment, create a special moment and support a special moment. Here at Incontinence UK we don’t want any disability to stop you from living independently or to disrupt your lifestyle. We therefore provide a wide range of incontinence products to suit your specific needs. So do visit our website and take a look at some of our products on offer today!
