National Heart Month

This month is National Heart Month and as yesterday was Valentine’s Day we hope you had a good day with your loved ones. For this year's Heart Month the British Heart Foundation is encouraging everyone to make small changes towards a healthier lifestyle.  Keeping your heart healthy, whatever your age, will help your overall health (including reducing any incontinence issues) but will also help prevent and manage heart disease. Here are some heart-friendly things you can do:
  • Download the free 10 Minutes to Change Your Life booklets with challenges, inspiring stories and top tips for keeping your heart healthy.
  • Learn how to keep heart-healthy e.g. healthy eating, staying active, managing your weight, stopping smoking, cutting down on alcohol and coping with stress.
  • Sign up to Heart Matters, the free service and magazine which helps promote a heart-healthy lifestyle.
  • Join the free Health at Work programme to help you promote health and wellbeing in your workplace.
Please see the British Heart Foundation website if you or somebody you know is suffering from Heart Disease as there is masses of information on the website including details on healthy eating . Some of the symptoms and treatments of heart failure or heart disease may lead to bladder and bowel problems e.g. frequent passing urine in the toilet and feeling a sudden, strong desire to pass urine leaking urine while rushing to the toilet i.e. urge incontinence. If you are suffering from either urge incontinence issues please see our Incontinence UK website for our wide range of incontinence products and brands.  We stock a range of disposable incontinence pads and incontinence pants all available for prompt next day delivery.
