Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of
Dementia. The disease is something

which manifests due to a build-up of excess
protein plaques within the
brain, leading to blockages.
World Alzheimer’s Day , is a day on which Alzheimer’s organizations around the world concentrate their efforts on raising awareness about Alzheimer’s and dementia. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of dementia, a group of disorders that impairs mental functioning.
According to the available statistics of Alzheimers.Net an approximate 44 million people worldwide have Alzheimer’s disease or another type of Dementia.
…. A new drug has been discovered which is apparently able to destroy the build-up of
protein plaques within the
brain which lead to the disease. However, it can’t be understated that this could potentially be a seismic chapter in the ongoing battle against
Alzheimer’s.
So, this
World Alzheimer’s Day, amidst all of the despair that this disease sadly brings, we can take a moment to enjoy the glow of hope. Hope that there may be light at the end of the tunnel which is
Alzheimer’s disease.
Best Wishes
